Registration forms will be sent home at that time.
Registration for the public will open Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025 from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 - 3:00 p.m. You may pick up a registration form at that time.
Hazleton Trinity Nursery & Kindergarten School - Serving the community for 48 years
In January 1977 Hazleton Trinity Nursery & Kindergarten School opened its doors to 12 students. Trinity was the first church-sponsored pre-school in Hazleton. The school, which is officially known as Hazleton Trinity Nursery and Kindergarten School, was initiated and organized by the pastor, the Rev. Dr. Carl Schweitzer and assisted by members of his congregation. Now 48 years later the school remains a prominent figure in continuing to provide educational excellence in the Hazleton area. Hard work and dedication to educational ministry has touched the lives of thousands of children and hundreds of families through the years. It is because of this hard work and dedication, not to mention commitment, that the doors of Hazleton Trinity remained open providing in-person instruction and some normalcy for these children during the pandemic.
Registration will open for the 2025-2026 school year on January 21st for in-house students and January 30th for the public. Hazleton Trinity offers both morning and afternoon preschool programs for children who are 3 years old by Sept. 1st and potty trained. Our daily program offers a variety of academic activities that are age appropriate and engaging. Our preschool strives to help children adjust to a classroom setting, to develop good listening skills as well as following directions, and to learn to work and play with children their age.
The kindergarten program is a ½ day session, offered in the morning. The class is taught by a certified teacher and focuses on developing good listening, following directions, as well as reading and math skills in a small class environment. The class uses the Houghton-Mifflin Math curriculum as well as Savvas reading curriculum. Children must be 5 years old by September 1st in order to be eligible for kindergarten. Parents registering a child for kindergarten must bring their birth certificate and record of immunizations with them.
Hazleton Trinity Nursery & Kindergarten School, Celebrating 48 years of educational excellence, continues to be an active educational leader in the Hazleton community and surrounding areas. We are an evangelical outreach program of the Trinity Lutheran Church and are located at 100 North Church Street, Hazleton. Rev. Wayne Kaufman is the pastor.
